Baldwin Charolais Beef is produced by Baldwin
Family Farms, a family-operated farm in the rolling hills of pristine
Caswell County, North Carolina.
More than 35 years ago we selected the Charolais
breed, which is legendary for efficiently producing high-quality, protein-rich,
lean meat by natural grazing. Our Charolais herd thrives on our nutrient
rich pastures, enriched by organic compost produced on our farm. No chemical
fertilizers or pesticides have been applied to our pastures for more
than 20 years.
Baldwin Charolais grass-fed, all-natural beef provides
superior taste with significant health benefits. It is naturally lower
in fat than most USA-produced beef, and is robust with natural flavor.
It is dry-aged and minimally processed to enhance flavor.
Baldwin Charolais beef can be purchased from our
farm outlet, our website, or at a farmers' market. We sell direct in
pre-packed assorted cuts and quantities. Our "Mini-Sampler,""Maxi-Sampler"
and "40-Jumbo Burger" boxes are very popular for smaller families
and cook-outs. We also offer Internet Orders for customized boxes; beef
quarters and sides are also available. VISA, MasterCard, and checks are

Braeburn Farm is a beef cattle
and dressage horse training facility situated on 400 acres
of rolling farmland in the Piedmont region of NC. We are
midway between the Triad on the west and the Triangle on
the east. Beef cattle have been raised here for 30
years with a transition to grass fed beef in 2002. Traditionally,
we raised Angus cattle but are moving to New Zealand Red
Devon because of 100 years of grass fed genetics and carcass
quality.
Animals are ultrasounded at about one
year of age to determine if their meat will be tender. Those
with a good tenderness score are intensively grazed without
grain, antibiotics or growth stimulants.
Finished animals are processed at about 20 months
of age, dry aged for 3 weeks, and flash frozen in a USDA inspected facility
15 miles away. Frozen cuts are stored in a NC state inspected facility
at the farm. Beef is sold at the farm or shipped in 25, 50, 100-lb units
or by the side. Each unit is representative of all cuts in the cow. Orders
for a side of beef can be processed to the customer's specifications.

Captain John S. Pope Farm is located
in the rolling hills of Orange County NC, about 20 miles
north of Chapel Hill. Operated by third, fourth, and fifth
generation descendents, the farm raises grass fed free-range
Dorper lambs. The result is tasty, low fat meat with
higher levels of Omega-3 fatty acid, CLA and Beta-carotene.
Our Dorpers graze year-round through careful selection
of grasses with legumes that produce nitrogen and reduce the need for
commercial fertilizer. Ponds and wetlands are fenced out to protect soil
and water quality. Fresh deep well water is provided from frost-free
water troughs. Our flock is guarded from predators by llamas and Akbash-Marrema
dogs. We use no chemicals, pesticides, herbicides, hormones or antibiotics,
and our meat is USDA-inspected, Halal and NCDA-licensed for handling
and transport.
You are invited to visit the farm and purchase delicious
healthy meat, feed the llamas, and enjoy the pleasant country atmosphere.

Carolina Grassfed Beef & Free-Range Eggs, a division of Double M
Farm, Inc., produces delicious all natural grassfed grass-finished beef and free-range eggs.
We start with a superior line of Trask Polled Hereford,
a heritage breed of Hereford cattle. We knew Mr. Trask personally and
have had Trask cattle on the farm since 1950. We choose animals that
show phenotypic traits for finishing exceptionally well on grass. This
is based on information gained through years of studying the teachings
of Gearld Fry and the late Charles Walters, who base their teachings
on the wisdom of Dr. Jan Bonsma, James Drayson, and Heino Messerschmidt.
We follow the Albrecht method of soil fertility.
We feed no grain, grain by-products, or animal
by-products to our cattle. We use no hormones, antibiotics, pesticides,
herbicides, de-wormers, or chemical fertilizers. We use rotational
grazing and only small amounts of fertilizers approved for organic farming.
We mix our own minerals per Gearld Fry with sea salt as the base.
Beef is sold by the cut, half, and whole carcass,
vacuum sealed, flash frozen, dry-aged for 4-5 weeks, processed in a USDA
inspected facility, and is sold on the farm.
Our Moyers Red Chickens have free-range of 500 acres
to do what chickens do: scratch the ground, eat bugs, grass, and the
feed we mix. We use no commercial layer feed or animal by-products.
We are located in the beautiful foothills
of Anderson, SC, 75 miles from Brevard, NC..
Double M Farm, Inc. has been owned and operated by our family since 1847. We

Cozi Farm is a diversified, thriving polyculture
where animals are treated with reverence and grace, earthworms are cherished,
and all critters eat a species-appropriate diet.
We offer pastured eggs from chickens fed a
locally milled and organic ration, and our hens are moved to fresh
pasture daily where they eat a full complement of bugs and fresh forages.
Our poultry and pig rations contain little or no soy.
The hens follow our dairy cows, goats and sheep
in a rotation that takes into account the need of the grass to regenerate
in order to provide the best nutrition for all the animals and to allow
the soil to capture the most carbon from the atmosphere. Ruminants
are not fed grain and thrive on fresh grass and local, manure-fertilized
hay.
In addition to eggs and produce, we
also offer turkey and pastured pork, with lamb and chicken coming
soon. Visit us at the Saxapahaw Farmers Market,
Saturdays 4–9pm or find our eggs at the Saxapahaw General Store.

Hogan's Magnolia View Farm is

lower in fat than grain-fed beef, but has higher levels of
healthy fats including Omega-3 fatty acids and CLA. We offer

freshness.
Our cattle are pure Herford beef cattle. They eat
either fresh pasture growth or stored grasses such as hay or hay silage.
They are allowed to grow at a natural rate; calves stay with their mothers.
We have recently introduced a new Red Devon bull. The Red Devon is a
heritage breed from New Zealand, superbly suited to grass feeding. Their
meat is flavorful and moist and they gain weight efficiently on grass.
Our herd lead stress-free lives on about 40 acres of pasture, with free

Peaceful Meadows Farm, a
family farm established in 1996, is owned and operated by
Philip and Sheila Brooks and Jeremy and Laura Brooks. It
is located just 25 miles from the Charlotte city limits in
eastern Union County, NC.
Our animals are grown completely from birth on our
farm and enjoy wide open free range, sunshine and fresh air. We never
use pesticides, chemicals, hormones, antibiotics or other growth enhancers
in our production of beef or pork.
Although we are not officially organic we are very
careful to use organic practices in raising our livestock.
At present our cattle are a mix of Black Angus,
Red Angus and Red Devon. They are completely grass-fed without ever receiving
any grain. Our pork consist of the Berkshire and Tamworth Heritage
breeds that are crossed to provide a delightful eating experience of
ruby colored meat with a rich distinctive flavor. They eat a diet of
home blended grains with organic mineral supplements, as well as grass,
berries and nuts found in the wooded pastures.
All of our meat is processed in a very clean USDA
facility and packaged in clear vacuum sealed packages. We sell both the
beef and pork in bulk quantities picked up at the farm. Watch our web
site for offerings in the near future for pricing by the cut or smaller
sample packages.
Our products are available at various times
throughout the year, so it is best to send us an email address notifying
us of your interest. It is our practice to send out a broadcast
email at least a month in advance of when we plan to have bulk meat to
be purchased.

healthy, lean, and delicious beef cuts. Our cattle are grass-fed and
finished utilizing a salad mix of native, improved grasses, and clover.
For your peace of mind, all Pleasant Gap Farm products
are processed and packaged in a USDA inspected processing facility. Your
assurance of this inspection is on our label. Pleasant Gap Beef is dry
aged 14-21 days prior to processing into individual cuts. Dry aging helps
to concentrate and intensify the beef flavor and maximize tenderness.
All beef is labeled with cut description and weight, then frozen to assure
freshness and flavor.
Pleasant Gap beef is normally sold in quarters and
halves by carcass weight; quarters typically weigh 90-110 pounds. Cuts
are usually steaks, stew, short ribs and ground beef. We also offer healthy
doggie cuts and bones.
Area delivery is available, while individual cuts
can be purchased at Burnsville Farmers Market Saturday mornings,
8:30-12:30.

The Sanders Farm is located in
the foothills of Clinch Mountain in upper east Tennessee,
close to neighboring Kentucky, Virginia and North Carolina.
We have tended a small beef cow/calf herd at our family
farm since 1979.
We have kept our pasture and hayfields herbicide
and pesticide-free for those 30 years. We use no antibiotics, pesticides
or growth stimulants of any kind on any animal to be sold on Eatwild.
Flies are kept under control with a walk-through fly trap. The calves
I am selling eat only our own pasture and hay and mother's milk. They
are always free-ranging with their mothers and the rest of the closed
herd until the day they are processed.
I prefer to sell my calves whole in the late Spring
or Fall. Hanging weight is around 300 pounds and take-home meat averages
200 pounds. I deliver your calf to a local butcher and you pick up your
frozen meat there. You decide how long you want your meat aged and how
you want it cut and packaged. My price is $2.50 per pound of hanging
weight and the butcher charges around $.40 per pound based on hanging
weight.
I also at times have milk and grass-finished beef
by the package. It is USDA inspected and weighed, vacuum-packed and frozen.
I will email you a price list. Pickup for this meat would be in the Rogersville,
TN area.
We would rather sell our beef calves to individuals
who want untainted beef than into the feedlot industry where they live
a little longer but in an unnatural and highly stressful way.

Winn Family Farms: "Sheep
+ Seed + Sunshine = Grassfed Lamb"
Farming in America since 1626, Winn Family Farms
is entering its twelfth generation of operation. Two of our three farms
are recognized as Virginia Century Farms. Dedicated grassfarmers, the
Winn Family produces a flock of hair sheep solely on pastures and hay
produced without pesticides. Our animals receive no antibiotics or growth-promoting
hormones, and we do not feed any animal by-products, grain or other supplements,
except for a mineral blend specially formulated for sheep.
Lamb from hair sheep, especially when raised
totally on a diet of forages, is a mild and tender addition to the family
table.
Utilizing USDA-inspected harvest and packaging, and
NCDA-licensed refrigerated transport capacity, the Winn Family can bring
the safest possible locally-produced lamb directly to you or your neighborhood
butcher. Our flock is large enough and has aseasonal breeding capability,
so we can meet demand for lamb cuts, whole lamb, and live lambs throughout
the entire year.
A reasonably good selection of cuts is kept on-farm
for consumers' immediate needs, and live lambs may be bought any day
by appointment. We request a ten-day advance order for whole carcass
or locker lambs cut to your special order. This allows for the preferred
dry-aging, butchering, and freezing in vacuum-sealed packaging. We can
accommodate special religious needs at harvest.
We select our Katahdin X Dorper ewes for ability
to thrive and produce well-muscled lambs on forages alone. Our Dorper
rams throw lambs that supply excellent carcass traits for meat.
All of the animals are fenced out of riparian areas
to preserve soil and water quality. They receive free choice mineral
and fresh wellwater in unlimited quantity. The flock is protected by
perimeter fencing and Maremma livestock guardian dogs.
As we approach the beginning of our fifth century
in American agriculture, the Winn Family seeks to bond with consumers
who want to know the men and women who grow their food. As with all that
we do, we sell our lamb with a full satisfaction guarantee.
When you choose how to spend your food dollars, we
hope that you will select Winn Family Farms as one of your favorites.
