Beech Meadow Farm is a two-generation, family-owned
and operated farm. Located in the beautiful rolling acres of central
Ohio, our livestock are 100% free from hormones, antibiotics and steroids.
Beech Meadows is committed to raising livestock in an environment of
sustainable agriculture and was awarded the Perry County Soil and Water
Conservation District for its intensive rotational grazing practices.
Beech Meadow offers 100% grass fed heritage Angus beef and
pastured poultry. Our products are sold through local farmers
markets and through our Metro Buying Club.
Our heritage Angus beef is 100% grass fed to finish.
We supplement the diet with silage when fresh grass in not available,
but never any grain. Our beef is a healthy alternative to the commercial,
corn-fed beef that is available in the grocery store, and offers the
benefits of beef raised on a natural diet. We offer whole ground beef,
split quarters and select cuts.
Our pastured poultry operation includes traditional
Cornish crosses and Delaware purebreds. Our birds scavenge for insects
and actively graze the pasture for clover, plantain and even fescue!
The resulting taste is unbelievably juicy, tender and delicious. We sell
whole chicken, packaged parts (limited) and soup stock supplies.

by the Berger family with the health and comfort of the animals as
a top priority. We are a 100% grassfed to finish, Ohio Ecological
Food and Farm Association (OEFFA) certified organic beef farm.

an hour from Cleveland.
We offer 100% grassfed certified organic and all natural beef by the
whole, half, split half, and ground beef by the pound along with selected
cuts individually priced.
We attend the Medina Farmers Market, May through

animals as much as possible year around. Our cattle are rotated through
the pastures on a regular basis to the benefit of both plants and animals.
When extreme conditions of cold or mud require us to temporarily bring
the cattle onto a straw pack, they receive dry stored forages.
We encourage you to stop by, visit and see firsthand how we work to make
our beef the healthiest, most enjoyable eating experience possible. We
absolutely love what we do and thank God for blessing us in this manner

Blackbird Farms is located in pastoral Pierpont,
Ohio less than one hour from either Erie, PA or Cleveland, OH. We are
a family-owned farm dedicated to providing superior quality,
all-natural, cruelty-free, pasture-raised pork.
Our pigs are raised in the fresh air and sunshine where they have room
to roam and develop naturally. We find great happiness in being able
to offer this wholesome pork to you and your family. We know that you
will find it to be some of the best pork you will ever taste. Our pork
chops are out of this world juicy and more flavorful than any "assembly
line" pork product. There is much less waste in our product because
it contains only 100% all natural-pork. No additives. It is the way
pork should be—flavorful and tender.
We are currently offering pasture-raised pork by the side or whole
hog. A half-hog yields approximately 75 pounds
of take-home meat, and will take up about 1/3 of a regular top-freezer.
We prefer pick-up, but convenient arrangements can
be made. Call or e-mail for specific details on cuts, sausage seasonings,
pick-up dates, etc.
TAKING RESERVATIONS FOR NEXT YEAR'S PRODUCTION OF
PASTURE RAISED PORK, TURKEY, CHICKEN (CORNISH AND HERITAGE), AND LAMB.
We currently have a limited supply of pasture
raised turkey available. These are Holland White turkey and
are our first attempt at raising them. We had an awesome experience
and plan to continue next year with heritage breeds.
We appreciate your commitment to supporting small-scale
environmentally conscience family farms. We can assure you that your
purchase helps us to become better stewards of the land that we use to
produce our products.

Canal Junction Natural Meats & Farmstead
Cheese is a grass based farming operation where we
believe in raising our animals for food the way that God
intended them to be raised. We have a dairy herd along
with beef, pork, lamb, broilers, turkeys and layers.
We direct market all of the products that we produce on
the farm. We recently started to make Raw Milk cheese from
our own milk.
The dairy, beef, and lambs are 100% grassfed. They
do not receive any grain. The pork, broilers, turkeys and layers all
are raised on pasture and are given supplemental feed. The broilers and
turkeys are moved every 24 hours to another section of pasture. The layers
are free ranged within the paddocks that we have the cattle in.
We have very heavy clay soil that at one time was
a swamp (The Great Black Swamp). It has been drained off since the second
half of the 19th century. What was left behind was a soil that is extremely
high in naturally occurring minerals. Through proper utilization of grass
farming we capitalize on the available nutrients for grazing animals,
which in return makes the final product more nutrient dense. It has been
said that food grown on heavy clay soil is some of the best tasting in
the world. Find out for yourself today. Order some cheese or stop by
the farm and buy some meat to try for yourself.
We sell the raw milk cheese and meat off the farm.
The meat is in nice sized small packages and the cheese is in approximately
3/4 lb packages. Bigger blocks of cheese are available, just ask. The
cheese we will ship, the meat must be bought through the farm store.
We do have a wholesale price for the cheese for any retailers or restaurant
owners. Cheeses available: Cheddar, Colby, Jack, Garlic & Herb, Jack & Dill,
Pepper Jack, Italian Herb, Black Swamp Gouda, Miami Erie Canal Swiss
and Wabash Erie Canal Gruyere. Canal Junction Blue will be ready in late
March of '08.
Meat is also offered in bulk. Beef is available by
the whole, half, quarter, or half of a half. Pork and lamb are offered
by the whole or half. Unless other arrangements are made, it is the customer's
responsibility to pick up bulk orders from the butcher shop once the
order is finished.

At Farmstead Ltd. the vision of
our family farm for the future has a lot to do with the view
right outside our window. When we talk about our commitment

how we live on the rolling landscape here in Holmes County,
the heart of OH’s largest Amish/Mennonite community.

The Flying J Farm was
started five years ago with the goal and motto: Restoring
the land, the buildings, and the people. Our plan and
hope was to restore health to ourselves and others through
growing our own food, and better nutrition and lifestyle.
We have been certified organic by OCIA and OEFFA for three
years.
We raise grassfed, chemical-free Hereford cattle
and try to have freezer beef in all cuts available year-round.
The cows graze rotationally to maximize the pasture and their time on
greens. We also raise organic food-grade corn, soybeans, and hard (make
bread flour) and soft winter wheat. We raise hay for the cows, but feed
them only what we need to get them through the winter. We also grow a
large organic vegetable garden with help from interns and volunteers
(always looking for more) and have a farm market as well as a CSA. Products
from the garden are available during the growing season. We also make
maple syrup and have it available year-round.
We do four major events each year to encourage urban
folks to visit the farm and see how food is raised. These include a Maple
Sugar Festival in February, a Mushroom Hunt in April, a farm tour and
taste of local food in July, and a Fall Harvest Festival in October.
We have some five miles of trails for horseback riding, hiking or cross-country
skiing through woods and around lakes, ponds, and streams. We will soon
have a B&B and we do small conferences, retreats, and concerts. We
are always open to visitors if they call ahead.

Ohio in Knox County, an hour north of Columbus, near Mount

make a difference in our animals' health... and ultimately in yours.

Golden Hill Farms goes to grass
finished beef.
Golden Hill Farms is in northwest Pennsylvania, about
40 miles south of Erie, 80 miles north of Pittsburgh, and about 2 hours
from both Cleveland and Buffalo. We are 4 miles east of I-79 off exit
141.
For over 25 years we at have been producing and selling
top quality show cattle, with the remaining calves being sold to feedlots
for grain finishing. Since we are a grass and hay farm, this year we
decided to keep 30 of our top feeders to finish on grass.
During much of this time we have also operated a
meat processing plant. The animals in this program will be slaughtered
under federal inspection and we will be processing the meat ourselves,
in our facility on our farm. Additionally, the only meat we will be processing
will be our grass fed beef.
This year the grass finished cattle will have an
average dressed weight of 600–700 pounds. They will be sold by
the half (300–350 pounds) or in bundles.
We have designed 7 different bundles that we hope
will meet everyone's needs. The contents and price of each can be seen
on our website.
- Large Family Bundle (60 lbs.)
- Steak Lovers Bundle (15 lbs.)
- Economy Bundle (20 lbs.)
- Ground Beef Bundle (25 lbs.)
- Family Bundle (30 lbs.)
- Roast Lovers Bundle (15 lbs.)
- Sampler Bundle (15 lbs.)

At Green Grass Farms, our philosophy
is to grow healthy, quality meat in the most natural and
environmentally sustainable manner we can. For us, this
means that we move our animals to new paddocks of fresh
grass everyday. This method has advantages for the animals,
the land, and for you.
Our animals enjoy a healthy grass diet out on pasture
in the fresh air and sunshine. The land is fertilized by the carefully
managed cycle of sun-grass-animal-manure-soil. Our customers' health
benefits from the high nutrient quality of the grassfed meat, while their
conscience benefits from the knowledge that our animals are raised naturally
with care and respect. We use no growth hormones, no subtherapeutic antibiotics,
and no herbicides or pesticides on our pasture land ever.
We offer Green Grass Beef Quarters (60–75
pounds) and Green grass whole lambs (25–35 pounds). Our
animals are processed at a state inspected facility and are cut and wrapped
in 1–3 pound packages. The meat is fresh and shipped via UPS in
coolers directly to your door. Home delivery is offered in Athens
County and through the Athens County CSA.
Our price is $4.99/lb for beef and $5.49/lb for lamb
(based on retail weight not hanging weight, so you pay for only what

in: wholes, halves, split halves, and boxes (20-lb, 45-lb, and 70-lb).
We also have boxes of ground beef and lean ground beef available as well

The Freedom Ranger Chicken is our chicken of choice.
An aggressive forager suited to pasture raising, these birds are slow
growing and fit the more natural way of raising broilers. Our chickens
and turkeys are raised on pasture with a natural feed supplement of corn,
roasted soybeans, crimped oats, and free-choice vitamins and minerals
that is mixed right on the farm. Birds should be pre-ordered in spring
and summer to guarantee quantities.
Eggs are from our pastured heritage breed Dominiques
and Buckeyes, and Golden Buffs. They graze behind the cattle and are
fed our layer mix of corn, roasted soybeans, oats, and vitamins and minerals,
also mixed at the farm. Eggs are available year round; quantities are
limited.

Highland Haven Farm is a small
diversified family farm located 3 miles west of Sinking
Spring, OH. We farm organically with the exception of bought
in feeds. We believe it is more sustainable to buy locally
grown feed than having organic grain trucked in from hundreds

Our clean, nutrient-dense foods include 100% grassfed beef,
pastured pork, pastured poultry, free-range eggs, raw
dairy products (available through herd-share ownerships), organic produce,
home baked goods, jams and jellies. We have CSA shares available for
veggies, baked goods, eggs, and chickens throughout the summer. Our greenhouse
allows us to extend the growing season considerably.

Kestrel View Farm is owned and
operated by Andy and Debbie Lynd and family. Our Red Angus beef cattle
and Broad-Breasted White turkeys are rotationally
grazed on pastures overlooking acres of apple orchard in
east central Ohio's Licking County.
We feed no grain at any time to our cattle and supplement
their pasture diet by offering them free choice selection of dried natural
sea kelp that contains a full complement of minerals.
Our turkeys' pasture diet is balanced with a daily
grain ration. Turkeys are intriguing animals to raise. They are
inherently suspicious of new, unfamiliar foods, but once they become
used to them there is no holding them back. Red, ripe watermelon and
five gallon buckets of apples are real treats for them!
No antibiotics are administered and no steroids are
used. Naturally raised is naturally superior. Give us a call or email
today for more details on our offerings or to arrange a visit to the
farm.
We plan to have beef ready to be processed in early
November and turkeys will be ready the Monday and Tuesday prior to Thanksgiving.

Lamppost Farm brings culture
and agriculture together. We raise pastured and grass-fed
animals in order to give customers quality product and
the opportunity for hands-on learning.
Our broiler chickens live most of their lives
on our pastures, move daily to a new selection of bugs and grasses, then
are processed on the farm in groups by people who care about quality.
Our layer hens produce fresh brown eggs. We anticipate the
addition of our grass-fed beef and pastured pigs.
Steve came to Lamppost Farm from a college campus
where he developed skills in group/team building and leadership development. Now,
he combines these skills with holistic agricultural opportunities to
encourage guests to learn with the head, hearts, and hands. Melanie’s
strengths include program planning, hospitality, mentoring, and relationship
development. Together, these skills allow Steve and Melanie to offer
more than high quality food. Here, food is an experience that continues
to give for months and months beyond.

food are "as available.”
Meat is available directly from our farm. We also

Liberty Farm began in 2005 with
the purchase of our farm in northern Morrow County, Ohio.
We started with a small flock of Icelandic ewes and a handful
of laying hens.
It is our goal to build a sustainable farm for the
purpose of raising healthy, pastured food and healthy kids. Our pastures
are managed in a chemical-free style with an eye to long-term improvement
of the land.
We have 100% grass-fed, drug-free lamb to
offer for sale. Our lambs produce very mild flavored meat. They eat nothing
but grass and mother's milk with some vitamin and mineral supplement.
In addition, we have chicken and eggs.
Our meat birds and laying hens are fed certified organic feed and live
on pasture in hoop houses that we move regularly to fresh grass.
The chickens follow the sheep in the pasture rotation.
This means that the grass is nice and short so the birds can take full
advantage of it. Their contribution is to fertilize and scratch the ground,
making better pasture for the sheep.

Menagerie Farms,
located 50 miles west of Toledo, Ohio, offers grassfed beef, pork,
poultry, eggs and lamb. Our cattle are
pastured on OCIA-certified organic land, utilizing marginal
ground that it too hilly (erodable) for crop farming. Thus
our cattle-grass combo actually conserves and builds topsoil
that would be degraded and washed away under grain farming.
While the cattle themselves are not certified organic,
we administer no drugs or hormones. Our chickens likewise
are on organic grass, supplemented with organic grains,
and are drug and hormone-free.
Beef is sold summer and fall by the side, split-side,
or canned. Chicken is available summer and fall; eggs year-round. Delivery
is available.
Customers are invited to see our farm, woods and
wetlands. We are close to US Rt. 80–90, Sauder Village, Goll Woods
State Park, and Harrison Lake.

Ohio Grass-Fed Lamb is a small,
family farm located just 35 miles southwest of Cleveland
in beautiful, historic Wellington, OH. Our goal is to bring
you the healthiest and tastiest grass-fed lamb available.
Our lambs are born in springtime onto lush, green
pasture and remain on pasture throughout their growth. Our pastures are
pesticide and herbicide free, and have been planted and managed to provide
an ideal diet for grass-fed animals. The lambs are moved each day to
fresh pasture and are never given even the smallest amount of grain. Needless
to say, they are never given growth hormones or antibiotics.
In early November, our lambs are taken a short distance
to the butcher, where our customers can specify exactly how they would
like their meat processed. Throughout all of this, our animals are handled
as gently and humanely as possible.
If you would like to receive an email attachment
with all of our pricing and ordering information, send us an email and

Payne Family Farm offers raw
goat milk, free-range brown eggs, pastured
poultry and turkeys.
We believe that our creator has endowed us
with all things needed for health and healing through nature. Scarlett
Payne is a Naturopathic Practitioner who sees clients in her private
office for various health concerns. Part of any healing protocol
is the right nutrition and that means eating live foods full of enzymes. Raw
goat milk is a powerful healing food that nourishes the body with vital
nutrients that are lost through pasteurization. If you have ever
tasted store-bought goat milk and thought YUCK, we have to agree. Raw
goat milk tastes sweet and creamy without any goaty taste. We
give free samples before you buy to prove how delicious it is.
The
milk is sold privately through a herd-share program. A $10 fee
pays for the herdshare program. We use stainless steel milk
machines and a cool tank to keep the milk sanitary. Milk is bottled
daily in glass quart jars and easily keeps for 2 weeks in the fridge. Some
milk clients have us freeze milk in ziplock freezer bags so they can
stock up during the summer to enjoy fresh milk throughout the winter. (Great
way to get absorbable calcium and vitamin D.) We also spray a
liquid sea mineral containing all 94 minerals on the pastures and hay
field throughout the season to re-mineralize the grasses and create nutrient-dense
milk, eggs and poultry.
The
free-range eggs are high in omega 3 fatty acids from the grass, and have
a perfect protein profile. The poultry is raised on separate pasture
from the goats in movable open floor pens that stay clean with fresh
pasture. We noticed very little fat on the poultry, but what fat
there is, is yellow, not white like grocery toxic poultry.
We offer
free classes on making your raw milk into kefir, a probiotic yogurt,
and cheese. We invite you to join the fun! We are located 45 minutes
from Columbus.

Sirna's Farm and Market, a sustainable
farm in Ohio, is located in Auburn Township of Geauga County.
On the farm, we produce a large variety of vegetables and
fruit, eggs from our free-range Golden Buffs, grass-fed
pure Angus beef and award winning sweet corn. The
market, located on the farm, carries an assortment of jams, homemade
peanut and almond butter, honey from our hives,
Amish cheeses, our produce, and our grass-fed beef
and eggs.
We are not certified organic, however we use sustainable
agriculture with organic methods. The major contributor to our absence
of chemicals are beneficial insects (we believe that for every bad bug,
there's a good bug). Also, we grow 3 different ways: hydroponically,
in high tunnels, and raised bed plastic.
All the beef on the farm is raised the way nature
intended—eating grass. We do not use any hormones or antibiotics
and they never eat grain. Our chickens' diet consists of grass and lots
of sunshine, which makes their eggs high in vitamin D.
Customers can come visit the farm market, or schedule
a tour. The market is open during the summer months. Our hours are Tuesday– Sunday,
