Alger Family Farm wants to provide people with healthy food, as affordably as we can. Currently, we offer pastured chickens and turkeys, grass-finished beef and lamb, whole wheat bread, all natural soaps, and free-range eggs.

Our meat chickens and turkeys start out right on pasture in a floorless pen. The pen has a hover with a heat lamp so they can run under to get warm. They also run around pecking the ground for bugs and vegetation from their very first day of life. At this stage we move them as needed. At two to three weeks, they no longer need the heat lamp and begin to get moved through our pasture daily. In addition to the bugs and vegetation, we feed them a Certified Organic and GMO-free feed ration. Our moveable pens keep them safe from predators while still allowing them fresh air, sunshine and access to the bugs and vegetation they need. When they are around eight weeks old, they are ready to butcher.

Our lamb and beef is 100% pasture finished and the animals only eat grass, other plants, salt and a high quality kelp and mineral supplement. We never give them hormones, antibiotics or chemical wormers. We spray no chemicals on our pastures.

Our free-range laying hens sleep in a moveable hoophouse and are protected on about 1/4 acre by an electric woven fence which we move as needed. We feed them a Certified Organic and GMO-free feed ration. They are allowed out during the day to eat all the bugs and plant material they desire.

Our bread is all natural and baked with certified chemical-free whole white wheat. Our soaps are all natural. We never add any artificial colorings or synthetic fragrances as herbs and essential oils add fragrance and even color to them. Hard soaps last longer and these soaps do just that. Each batch is mixed and cut by hand, so there will be slight variations in our handmade soaps. Each bar is approximately 4 ounces.

Our family does all that we can to ensure the highest quality possible; one of the best ways we have found is through achieving strict certification. We are Certified 100% GrassFed by the American Grassfed Association, Certified for high animal welfare by Animal Welfare Approved, and USDA Certified Organic Pastures by One Cert.

Our cattle are raised using intensive rotational grazing techniques—free of pesticides, herbicides, growth hormones, and antibiotics. We have long been advocates of this management protocol due to its benefits to the animal, the environment, and to us as consumers of a healthier product.

We market via our internet site where we ship via both Fed Ex and UPS. You can also find our meat in Whole Foods, select Schnucks Markets and through Fair Shares. We welcome customers to pick up their beef at our grass farm in Doniphan, MO, or our processing plant located in Jackson, MO—just tell us when you are coming. We can ship everything from small orders of a few steaks, to large wholesale orders including quarters, sides and whole beef with special cuts and packaging requests. We welcome orders from co-ops (delivering to numerous cities), restaurants and retail stores.

American Pasturage, Inc. supplies meat from livestock raised on grass pastures year round. During inclement weather, the animals receive grass hay right in the pasture. The Elysian Veal calves are left with the cow in the pasture from birth to market. Our farm uses no chemicals, pharmaceuticals, grains, or blended feeds in production of our meat animals.

A supply of Elysian Veal, Pasture Purefect Beef, and lamb is available at most times right from our farm. The USDA-inspected meat is vacuum-packed and frozen. Shipments can be made to any location in the U.S. The meat can also be found at the Greater Springfield Farmers' Market on Saturdays from mid-April to the end of October.

The veal, beef, and lamb are available in popular retail cuts. We try and maintain a year around stock of whole ground beef that runs 90% lean or better.

We are a second and third generation, family-owned ranch raising grass-fed Lowline Angus beef. We raise our beef naturally without using hormones, antibiotics, or grains.

Lowlines are 100% Angus heritage beef cattle that are well proportioned with a more compact, smaller frame size. We offer whole beef at two years of age, delivered to a quality USDA inspected meat processor near Big Cabin, Oklahoma. Current pricing as of 11/1/2016 is $3.40 per lb. of hanging weight, averaging 300 to 450 lbs. For more information or to order a beef call (281) 468-5881 or e-mail us at alannafrank@reagan.com.

Hello, and Welcome to Attadale Farm. We are Steve and Sandy Fahsbender. We raise 100% Local Grass-Fed Beef and Pastured Pork on an old Amish farm near LaPlata, MO.

Our grass-fed cows are the Galloway breed. We selected Galloway because they score high on carcass evaluation tests for tenderness, juiciness and flavor. With big stomachs, they do an excellent job of converting our pasture's seven  varieties of mixed grasses and legumes into tasty, tender beef. We do not feed them anything except our pasture and/or alfalfa. We do not give them hormones, antibiotics, grain or grain byproducts. Our cows are treated humanely and with respect. We offer our beef by the individual cut, 1/4, 1/2 and whole. We also have Beef/Pork Combo discounts available.

We call our Pastured Pork, Jurassic Pork, after the ideas of the Paleo diet for humans. Our hogs are rotationally grazed through our timber to enjoy our naturally abundant grasses, vines, berries, bushes, leaves, roots, acorns, hickory nuts, walnuts and whatever else is on their menu. If we need to supplement their diet, it is with a certified non-GMO ration. Our pork is marbled and delicious. You will not be disappointed. They, too, are treated humanely and with respect. Our pork is available in 1/2, whole, by the cut and in our Beef/Pork Combo.

Please visit us on line, call, or better yet, stop by. You should always examine your product source to confirm that you are getting what you think you are. Hope to see you soon.

Better Meats Farm is a family-owned and operated business for the past five years producing quality 100% grass-fed beef in Missouri.

Better Meats operates on the principle that we need to protect our environment in order to raise healthy cows and ultimately produce nutritious meat. Through our research and experience, we have utilized techniques that allow us to raise tender beef that is full of flavor year round, while optimizing the health of our soil. We do this by grazing our beeves until they are full grown, never feeding grain or growth hormones.

Better Meats understands the harmful effect of fertilizers, poisons and pesticides on people, animals and the soil; hence, we use rotational grazing. This also allows us to eliminate the use of antibiotics as well as wormers from all our beef cattle. In addition, by carefully managing the pastures, Better Meats can year-round graze, which is healthiest for cattle and the pasture alike.

We sell our beef in quarters, halves, and wholes. We also sell 100% grass-fed ground beef throughout the year. Our veal is only available in the spring.

Check out our website for more details about ordering and our farming practices.

At Cedar Cove Farm, we believe in raising all natural, hormone and antibiotic free animals. We use no additives or preservatives in our broiler chickens or meat rabbits. Our broilers are available in June/July and again in September/October. We work in a direct market basis, but will take orders.

The broilers are raised on grass beginning at the third week of life in the protection of a "chicken tractor." The tractor is moved to fresh grass twice daily. They are fed a supplement of various grains mixed with Fertrell's Poultry Nutribalancer to ensure proper trace minerals and optimal health. We also offer eggs from free-range hens that thrive on a diet of grass and bugs and whatever they can find. They sleep in permanent buildings and are allowed to roam during the day.

Our rabbits are fed alfalfa pellets and supplemented with fresh cut grass or hay. The rabbits are available as pets or meat, already packaged. They are available in spring and fall, please call for pricing and availability.

Cedar Cove Farm is also a Fertrell dealer and we believe in returning to the ground what we take out of it. This is accomplished through Fertrell's natural and organic certifiable soil enhancing products and fertilizers, but mostly our continued education in the area of pasture management. We offer various food supplements for the health of your animals and, ultimately, you.

We believe in supporting local agriculture and staying small, building relationships with our customers. We are always learning and seeking advice with a goal of having quality pasture, land and animals.

Circle B Ranch aims to provide a clean and 100% natural environment to breed and grow Heritage Pork (Berkshire, Duroc and Red Wattle) for the restaurant and consumer consumption. We accomplish our mission by raising the animals in a natural environment in the Ozark Hills of southwest Missouri. The animals are raised outdoors by using sustainable and humane production standards. All our animals are bred, farrowed and raised outdoors in the fresh air.

Since the animals are free-ranged on pasture they will do what pork do best root and graze for the majority of their food. Circle B Ranch will add supplements to the animals' diet which is a natural corn-soybean based food with the necessary mineral and vitamins. We do not use any hormones, growth stimulants or meat by products.

We will have Berkshire pork available in the fall. We are going through the Certified Humane audit now.

The animals will be processed at Paradise Locker in Trimble, MO.

Covered–L Farms has been raising grass-fed beef since 1992 in an environmentally friendly manner by using no antibiotics, pesticides, herbicides, growth hormones or grain (but we’re not organic, just close). We really enjoy providing flavorful, healthy, nutritious clean beef to forward-thinking mid-Missouri customers.

Our beeves are 100% grass-fed: they graze the best pastures we can provide throughout the year, along with excellent quality hay when required. To insure you receive the quality you expect, we test a small portion of each beeve. Anything not meeting our standards becomes ground beef so only the best is available for our customers. And our prices for 100% grass-fed beef beat everyone in mid-MO and perhaps in the entire state.

Halves, split halves and whole beeves are available year around. Individual USDA-inspected cuts are available in Columbia MO at both Clovers Natural Foods stores and at the West Broadway (only) HyVee location, as well as by appointment at the farm. Delivery by arrangement in the local area, but, sorry, we do not ship.

Our beef is grass-finished, supplemented only with natural minerals and salt, in a rotational grazing system. We raise our own calves and leave them with their mamas for at least six to eight months. Our pork is pastured, also in a rotational system, feeding on non-GMO corn, grass, acorns, and other foods they find in their natural environment. Our Red Broiler chickens are also moved to fresh grass each day, feeding on clover, grass and bugs, along with the natural, non-GMO grains they need. We also raise turkeys on pasture once a year, to be available in November.

None of our animals are treated with hormones or steroids; antibiotics are used rarely and only as needed. They are treated with love and care. Our pastures are free of chemical fertilizer and grow lush on the rotational grazing system. Our own well supplies plenty of fresh water for the animals.

Our beef is available in individual cuts or by halves or quarters. Pork also is available in cuts or halves. Chicken is available in wholes, cut-ups, and parts, as well as livers, gizzards, hearts, and feet (excellent for making bone broth!). Turkeys are packaged whole. Eggs are also available.

Our meat is available locally at our farm near Hardy, at the Spring River Health Connection in Ash Flat, and at the ASU Farmers’ Market in Jonesboro (May thru October). Through the winter, we also meet buyers every other week in Jonesboro, to be available year-round.
