News...Consumer watchIn the past year, a number of producers of grain-fed meat have created slogans and labels that capitalize on the growing interest in grass-fed meat. Without making any false claims, their ads create the illusion that their animals spend their entire lives on pasture. Currently, a Washington State producer of premium, grain-fed meat is using the slogan, "From our pastures to your plate—naturally." MIssing is the part about the months the animals spend eating grain in an Eastern Washington feedlot. If you know of any misleading advertising, please let us know!
