Dirty Spur Cattle Company raises pure bred Texas Longhorns. All of our animals are born and raised right here in Highland, Utah and never leave one of our pastures. They are grass fed from the day they are born to the day they are slaughtered, and are never given any hormones or antibiotics.
We process our meat at the only USDA certified slaughter house in Utah County and we deliver our meat right to your home. You can trust that these cows are all-natural, hormone-free and never given anything but grass to eat all the days of their lives.
Our meat is extremely lean and has been tested at 92–98% lean. Thanks to Texas Longhorn beef, today's health-conscious consumer doesn't have to avoid tender juicy steaks. Not only is Longhorn beef leaner than that of other breeds, it is also lower in saturated fats. The flavorful Longhorn beef has less cholesterol and calories than chicken. Definitely good news for a healthy lifestyle!
"Lean beef is good for you – and the key word is lean. Longhorn meat on the average, contains 10 percent less saturated fat than that of other cattle. That puts lean Longhorn beef on par with skinned boneless white meat of chicken and that fact may come as a surprise to many dieticians." —Dr. Joseph Graham, Cardiovascular Surgeon at St. John's Medical Center in Joplin, Missouri.
We sell our beef in quarters, halves and full cows. You can also purchase ground beef from us in any quantity at any time of year. You can read more about the amazing qualities of Texas Longhorn lean meat on our website. We'd love to talk to you more about these amazing animals. Please give us a call.
Farmers Markets:
We are vendors at the Thanksgiving Point Farmers Market on Friday from 3-7pm starting in August and ending in October. We are also vendors at the Happy Valley Farmers Market on Fridays from 5-9pm starting in August and ending in October.
We ship our meat anywhere in the continental US via UPS. Buyer pays shipping costs.

Forage Creek Ranch — Noticing a lack of reliable grass-fed beef options in our local stores, the Skinner Family began raising beef in Tremonton, Utah in 2013.
Our original goal was to provide quality meat for our own family, but that quickly changed as friends, neighbors and acquaintances tasted the difference of true beef, raised the way cows should be. "Grass-fed," "Organic," and even terms as simple as "Natural" are oftentimes misleading and do not give the whole picture of how the animals were raised. Our customers love being able to come to the ranch at any time and see we have nothing to hide.
Rotational, intensive, or mob grazing is a huge part of the health of our pastures. We use a system of biomimicry, a fancy word that means we mimic nature in every possible aspect while raising our animals. We start from the grass up. By mimicking normal animal grazing patterns, we provide a constant supply of fresh grass as any given section or paddock will be grazed only 24 hours every 30 days on average. These periods of intense grazing and then extended rest mimic the migration of animals across a prairie, increasing production of plant material which in turn increases the biomass found in the topsoil. We strive to produce the highest levels of life in our soils to give our animals the best forage around.
Our animals are raised with:
- No Soy
- No GMOs
- No Antibiotics
- No Hormones
- No Synthetic Chemical Fertilizers
- No Pesticides
- No Herbicides
We respect our animals and do our best to ensure they live in harmony with their innate traits. Come visit the farm.

Hit The Hay Farm is a regenerative ag farm on the Western Slope north of Fruita, CO. Our grass-finished beef is summered at 10,000 feet on the largest flat-top mountain in the world. The cattle graze a diverse array of warm and cool season grasses and forbes on virgin, mineral-rich soil. In the winter months we graze cover crops, crop residue, and perennial pastures for 365-day grazing.
We practice the 6 principles of soil health to promote healthy soil, healthy animals, and healthy humans. We are committed to building carbon in the soil, reducing our precious irrigation consumption, and creating a healthy environment to raise our family.

We are proud to have been producing grass-fed beef and lamb for over 16 years. We work hard to treat our animals, our land, and our customers right. We do not give hormone implants to our animals but allow them to grow naturally. All our meat is antibiotic free and carefully cut by our skilled butcher.
Check out our online store to see the various cuts and bundles of cuts available. We also have Artisan sausages made from our meats by Lost River Meats in Mackay, Idaho. Looking for a larger volume of meat? We offer whole and half lambs, as well as quarter, half and whole beef. Our butcher will cut and package the half and whole orders just the way you like it. Redmond Heritage Farms, LLC is located in Redmond, Utah. For over 10 years Redmond Heritage Farms has been specializing in producing Certified Raw Milk and farmstead raw milk cheeses from pastured cows.
Even in the winter our cows eat green grass from our barley sprouting fodder system. Redmond Heritage Farms is a Grade A, Certified Raw Milk farm – that's important! It means our farm works with regulators in meeting the rigorous standards that are essential and required by Utah Department of Agriculture and Food to retail raw milk.
We also specialize in grass finished beef and eggs from free range, pastured chickens. We believe the cycle of creating healthy food begins at healthy soil and moves to healthier plants and animals which create food that nourishes people. We farm this way because we want to eat food that is created this way.
